There are no instructions on clearing codes with the diagnostic system I have. Can this be done or does it stay in the ECU memory for ever?

The only code that I know you can clear is the oil change reminder
I do believe any alarm codes are stored in the ECU history

I did however purchase a diagnostic tool and it shows the following faults:
SP Sensor failure X 1 time
CKP Sensor failure X 3 times
      Overheat gradient X 2 times
      Once at 1625 rpm cyl temp 104 c exh temp 104 c failure at 102 h for 2 min
      Second at 813 rpm cyl temp 92 c exh temp 71 c failure at 248 h for 2 min

Bloggsy did you ever figure out how to clear the codes. I bought the same program and would like to find out how to clear them as well. The software is a great tool so far and the manuals are way better than the one I bought from the dealer.

                    Yep
Injector, map sensor 2 and iac sensor. But then I tested each all show that they are working. I'm still working on it. I just got the software yesterday.
The test are good to have I just don't what the values should be in some of the stuff so it's hard to make sure that what you are testing is working up to par.

                      Hey guys,

I was told by the Suzuki Dealership that installed a new O2 sensor to clear a 3-6 code that you cannot reset a code. They claim that you can exit the screen that shows the code but the only way to clear it is to fix it.

I'm not sure if what they are saying is true or correct but I thought I would pass it along to you.

                      Good luck

                      Cheers

                        Thanks for the info.
I replaced the sensors that were showing up faulty which were Shift position sensor (showed 1 fault) & the Crank angle sensor (showed 3 faults)
But even then the faults stay listed in the fault list. So what I have done is save the file with notes opposite the faults saying sensor replaced xx/xx/2015
So then when I run the diagnostics next time I can always go back and see what previous faults were shown & this will tell me if the current faults are new or not.
Just to prove this I disconnected the IAT plug 3 times & this now remains as 3faults in the program
There is also a section that shows immediate faults and this is clear.
I was having trouble with the engine not reving past 3,000 rpm so hopefully replacing the faulty items indicated has resolved this. I will know next week.

Your dealer was right about the codes.I found the operations manual and downloaded it. It says that once the problem is fixed the codes will go away. Two of my codes have went away IAC valve and MAp sensor. If you need the operations manual maybe I can send it to you.
I have been told by a certified marine mechanic that just because a fault or code shows IAC valve or Map sensor does not mean that the actual sensor is bad. Like in my case I adjusted my idles and the position of the CTP sensor and the IAC valve code went away. With the MAP sensor I bought a new one but it didnt help and I put the old one back on. after changing idle and running the Map sensor code went away.
Still cant figure out why im getting an injector code.
Im having the same problem as you with the rpms It runs great under 3500 rpms but the second it goes above 3500 it starts to surge. thought I had it fixed before but I guess something wasnt right.
