I posted a while back with sims problems. well there back last time I found a cut cable fixed it and had no problems until now its out again. So I ordred new cables a new eng interface cable pragramed , and all I needed to update the system. I cant get the tach to work . I can set the fuel tanks but I cant get to the configure eng intrfc. to set it to DF 200. I know the tach works I checked it out on the other motor. I read on here somewhere the sequence to get to that if someone could help me out it would be a big help. the motors are 2007-df200s. THANKS

If you go to the menu on the SMIS gauge and find the network menu, device list, are you saying that on the list of network devices, no "Suzuki" devices appear?
If that is the case, then one of the following conditions is likely:
1. the interface cables are faulty (seems unlikely that both cables could fail at same time), or
2. something is not connected correctly in the network wiring. Check all plugs and connections are firmly plugged in and no corrosion. Also check that devices are connected to the leg part of the T, not the top. Make sure engine keys are both "on" when you are checking the device lists.
3. Check that the fuse in the network power supply is OK
4. Last possibility is a faulty T piece or at pieces. Swap out the T piece that the interface is connected to. Are you using the old blue T pieces or new black ones? The old blue ones do seem to get corroded and fail after a few years.
5. The network hasn't been configured. First, you need to configure the network to tell it you have 2 engines and 2 tanks (if that is what you've actually got), then depending on SW version, configure each engine interface to the correct year and HP. This can only be set on interface V 2.3 or earlier, any later versions auto-configure themselves and can't be changed by the user.
On your engines, being 2007 year, I would recommend Suzuki interface software version 2.30 be loaded onto the interface cables, and you will then need to configure the interfaces in the network devices menu by assigning one engine as port, the other as starboard then setting HP and year.
Have a look at these things and see how you go. Let me know results. But if this doesn't work, it might be best to take it to a dealer knowledgeable in this networ system or at least get on the phone to someone who has expertise locally in your area who can walk through things with you.

Thank you so much for the info , it was a great help the problem was my motors have never been interfaced so some of the devices would show up on the tachs when I connected them they all came on . none of the 4 wires on the back of the are hooked up i will do that tomorrow . Both tachs come on with one key is that normal. thank you again I will pass this info along to my Suzuki dealer[ I know them well but they did not have a clue]
