Got my manual in and did some checking. Try to adjust idol and no luck. Took IAC out and started the motor and it rev it up, shut motor down and now have a different code. It's 2-2 error (CTP switch) check according to book and it checks good. When motor runs, I get a 12v there whether I rev motor up or not. Normal?? Will have to do more checking.

With the closed throttle switch you should have zero volts in neutral and twelve volts when in gear, have a look at the switch it is probably stuck in the open position or you have adjusted it wrong. With the engine running check the voltage on pin twenty nine it should be around one volt, you might have a voltage drop between the map sensor and pin twenty nine. If you have zero volts on it that will bring the check engine light on when you turn the key on.

The map sensor seem to have the right voltage. With the motor running I get 4.6v, when I rev up the motor ,I get about 1v and less. As for the CTP , when I ohm it out, it shorted ( 0 ohm), when I open the throttle, it will show an open ( no continuity). This is checking with motor not running.
When I check with the key on ,I would get a 12v as soon as you put the key in the on position. With motor running, it stay at 12v, even if I rev up the motor. I never put it in gear, so I don't know if there will be a voltage drop. May have to check later when I get home.

I give you the wrong information before on the closed throttle switch, zero volts with the throttle closed and twelve volts throttle open. I give you information on the neutral switch. When you start the engine you should not have to rev it to drop the map voltage, if you have a stable idle the voltage on pin twenty nine should be around one volt or better without doing anything.

Check for a bad ground, when you checked the sensor with an ohm meter it done what it should, continuity with the throttle closed, infinity when the throttle was open, but when you had the motor running 12 volts throttle closed, 12 volts throttle open. There is a bad ground on the closed throttle switch, and you will probably find it is a ground problem with the map sensor.

Check my grounds and clean all the grounds connection. CTP measure 0v running and 12v with throttle open. As far as adjusting idle. The book say to have it running and and turn key to start 5 time and turn up idle. When I do that, my starter would engage. I'm at a lost what to do next.

Your engine is too early for that procedure.

Well after I got hold of some spare parts from another motor. It was the ECM that was at fault. Now no more error codes. Thanks for all the help.
