On A DF175 that is used in salt water do you replace the 5 anodes in the engine with aluminium or zinc 2 different part No. Parts list says aluminium but just checking.

Just answered my own question

From Suzuki Magnesium anodes protect underwater metal components from galvanic corrosion in freshwater environment. Do not use in saltwater.

Bloggsy, the correct internal anode, and also the anode at the bottom of the swivel bracket, is part number 55321-87J00. Some sites list that as a zinc anode, but most list it as an aluminum anode (it feels more like aluminum to me). But you are correct ... whichever it is, 55321-87J00 is the correct one for saltwater. The magnesium alternative is only for fresh water.
