  • Df 250 Loose throttle butterfly valves.

I read on Hull Truth that some owners have experience this problem.
My 2008 Df250 with 1200 hrs have the same problem.
I just checked them to make sure they were tight and 3 of the 6 butterfly valves have loose screws.
I am going to red loctite them and pray this holds the screws in.

Check this thread out in hull truth if you have DF250's:
suzuki = junk.. Check yours if you got one.

That thread lead me here through a quick google search. I'm wanting to tear mine down and check them before it bites me in the rear. I almost wish I hadn't seen that thread. I was in search of a possible DIY thread, and stumbled on this one. I'll take pics and make a thread when I tear mine down.

    Mine is a 2008 250

Yea, I felt the same way , but could not get myself to ignore it while fishing 25 miles offshore and being responsible for the crew.
Glad I checked and fixed it, could have been expensive.

I finally got to mess with mine today. Pretty simple to get to. Mine are staked very well. I'm not sure if someone else has already done it or they are factory. Mine look to be staked across the whole back side of the screw with like a cold chisel.
Got another problem though. My throttle body is split/cracked. My assumption is that it was dropped, although it seems to be pretty stressed.

I did take some good pics to write up a DIY later tonight, trying to find an aluminum welder.
