I have twin 2004 DF250's. This last fishing trip on the way back in I had an issue with one motor. After getting up on plane and setting the throttles to about 4k rpm to cruise, one motor kept dropping out about 500 rpms every 10 seconds and then rev right back up to 4k rpm. If I ran at any other RPM the motor runs smooth with no problems. So I ran back in at 5k RPMS with no problem. Trying to figure out why at 4k RPM this issue is coming up?
Any suggestions? This just started happening. I have about 320 hours on the motors.
