I have a new 50hp 4 stroke i only get to use it about once a month should i run the motor out of fuel before putting it away

No, don't run it out. It will be fine, it is only for a month or so.

Just make sure you keep the fuel fresh!

I take one of my garbage pales and put it under the prop fill till it is just over the water wings and run it , i do this every two weeks and have never had a problem but i also put stabilizer in the fuel , our winter is very short we just have to wait for water temps to come up before going fishing
