Overheating Sensor

how can I test the overheating sensor on my DT85 “J” 1991 model outboard.?

dt85, sensor test

Changes, if you were to get a shop repair manual for your motor, it would tell you how to test and check the sensors on your motor. Many sensors for older motors are different than those used today.
