first post so apologies if this has already been asked. I have a 2006 Suzuki DF90. Whilst coming back from a fishing trip yesterday I noticed a humming noise coming from the Throttle Control Box (4000-5000rpm constant speed) - it sounded like an electric shaver running?????
I use the boat regularly and never noticed it before, i traveled about 6 miles home, no alarms, good pee stream and no warning lights, I usually have the cabin door open so this would drown out any noise previously, yesterday due to the cold i had the door shut and could hear this strange sound.
i started the engine this morning, no problem at all as per usual, but putting my ear by the throttle box could hear a feint noise again, it must get louder as i accelerate?? (i only had her on muffs on tickover today)
is this anything I should worry about or has it always been there and i haven't noticed it before do you think?
It sounds almost like a very high speed vibration or rattle - its not the audible alarm (I dont think) as this bleeps on start up as per usual.
Thank you for your help.
