Well, it's Christmas Eve down under (here in Australia), so here's best wishes to all on this forum especially the regular contributors, who do so much to make the forum such a useful source of information and problem solving.
You know who you are!
It's been a windy year here on the east coast of Aus where I live, so here's hoping that 2015 will see more fair weather and smooth seas, so we can all get out and rack up some serious hours on our Zukes, plus keep the lines tight on some good fish.
PB's this year were a bit scarce, but I did:
- land my first blue Maori Cod of about 4kg in October on our trip to 1770 in my mate Rod's Striper (DF300 Suzuki)
- score a heap of sand crabs in early 2014 and am into them again now, in fact will be heading out shortly to check the pots and bring them home. Fresh sandies for Christmas lunch will go down very well!
- have a completely trouble-free year again from my DF115. The 5 year warranty runs out in April 2015 so, touch wood, let's hope it stays that way!
All the best everyone, take care, enjoy, and see you all soon.
To the Aussies here .... Settle in, get through Christmas Day, and stock up the fridge with coldies ready for the Boxing Day Test Match! I was lucky enough to be at The Gabba for day 4 of the second Test, and watched the Aussie team pull off a great win. Let's hope for more of the same in Melbourne! Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi, Oi, Oi!
Late edit: the crab trip was a success, 11 crabs early this morning, and added another 15 just after lunch. Mmmmm crabs for dinner!
