  • Milky oil

Changed the oil and had about two hours of under 5 mph on oil. When to winterized it last night and checked oil and its milky color and about 3/4 court of oil high. Could this be because of the water build of of not wot. The motor runs great and ideas great. Any ideas are much appreciated thanks motor is DF 70

What was the condition of the old oil?
I would not think the you would get enough moisture just running at idle or better to turn new oil milky
It sounds more like a head gasket has gone bad and is leaking and getting water into the oil

I second the motion for the head gasket. You can wait to do it if you want, since you're buttoning it up for the winter, but if you decide to fix it later, do NOT leave the milky oil in the motor. Drain it and put fresh oil in there.

        df70, water in oil

I would suggest repairing before winterizing. Any moisture internally setting up through winter would not be good for any motor.
        Just my thoughts.good luck.
