New boat to me
Current prop is Stock original omc/brp 13 7/8 x 17. RPM easily 6000. Big wide low rake blades similar to suzuki OE props. Almost looks like a fan blade. Hull weighs 1500, decent amount of v at the stern.
Max rpm spec is 5500
I suspect the hp drops off at 6000, I am thinking I can easily add 3-4" of pitch.
I have a raker style 13 7/8 x 21 I am thinking would be worth a spin. Needs to be hubbed for this motor.
2 questions
1 will a raker style prop work well?
2. Due to the low gear ratio on these motors does the pitch to RPM relationship change? In other words, due to the lower gear ratio, will I reduce rpm less than the 150 - 200 rpm per inch of pitch?
A few of the online prop selectors point to 21 - 23 pitch.
Anyone got a similar setup dialed in?
