2003 DF 140 tapping noise

I have a 2003 DF 140 that has a tapping noise when starting up after sitting for several days. It does not do it when starting up during the day.

Timing chain tensioner?

Mine does this little chatter sound - think its due to not so perfect chinese machining or just the clutch assembly - it should go when you pull your clutch lever.
