DT 225 won't accelerate past 1500 rpms

My 2003 DT 225 won't rev past 1500 while in gear, although it will when in neutral. Any ideas anyone on what the problem may be?

Have you tried pumping bulb, checked fuel lines, cleaned fuel filters, water separator?
When did this start happening?
How long since plugs have been looked at/ changed?
Are any codes flashing?
Might help to know anything that's been done/ looked at?

Sounds fuel related or timing not advancing under a load we need more info to help you solve this as solarman is asking
