2.5 hp 4stroke questions

Hi I'm new here, just got a new motor for my pontoon raft. The first time I used it it worked fine(2 hours) the second time the motor seized up, took it to a repair shop and broke it free, and it started after trying for awhile. The tech said that the oil was low(the indicator showed that it was on the low side). Anyway next time I took it out I had a heck of a time starting it, but it ran for 15 minutes and quit. I have it in the garage trying to start it, it won't start.
HELP !!!!!! any ideas? Thank you
