    trip to the dealer

Dealer called and wants the boat as he will have the full attention of the Suzuki rep. Trailer out of commission so I drove it 60 miles down the coast to the Hillsboro inlet. Ran 3600 rpm at 24.9kts on the gps burning 7.8 gph. I think that converts to 28.6 mph gives me 3.6 mpg. Engine now has 55 hours on it.
Dealer is great they met me at the ramp with a trailer and will upgrade software on the gauges and troubleshoot the speed fluctuations. We will see what they come up with.
I will have to bring some poles for the trip home no need to waste that beautiful gulfstream blue water.

Got the boat back from the dealer and they updated gauges but did not have luck finding the issue. They found the surging issue at the 1400 to 1700 rpm range but were not able to find any problems while they ran the laptop on a diagnostic test. Looks like it is my problem until a hard code pops up on the dash. They seem to feel since the new motors have an O2 sensor for lean burn that it may be just the computer trying to lean out the engine during that speed.
Not real happy but really have no choice except to use it and hope something gets worse to develop a hard code.
