Hi, I have a Suzuki DT4, 1991 vintage. In an effort to get the maximum performance from my engine/boat combination, I am thinking about changing to a different prop pitch. With my current setup, (7-1/2x6-1/2 prop) my motor sounds like it is not running as fast as I would expect at wide open throttle. I plan to verify my engine RPM at wide open throttle, but can't find the manufacturers recommended RPM at 4 hp. Does anyone know the RPM spec for this engine at 4 hp? Thanks.

Update: I haven't been able to find the wide open throttle RPM spec for this motor anywhere. Other 2 stroke motors of similar age and horsepower seem to be rated at 4800-5000 RPM, or so. I have ordered a Tiny Tach, and plan to use it to measure where I'm at, RPM wise now. Then change the prop to a lower pitch if my RPM is too low. My target RPM will be in the 4800- 5000 RPM range. Does this sound reasonable?
