not sure if my df175 is FBW or Mechanical

im new to boating (Espcially to new motors, my last engine was a 1989 evinrude) not sure if my 2013 df175 is FBW or Mechanical, how can i find this out ?

Most likely mechanical. Not sure if FBW was available on that model then.

In any case, easy to tell. The mechanical one will have throttle and gear shift cables going thru the rigging tube to the engine. The FBW one doesn't. The FBW one also has a push-button starter - you turn the engine key on, and to start or stop during the day's boating, you just press the start button.
