What is the correct fuel/oil mix ratio for a 4hp outboard ?

Mostly, they are 50:1. Depends on the make and model. Can be 25:1 or 40:1.
Best thing is to get onto the relevamt manufacturer's website and look it up.
Sometimes on small motors it is marked into the fuel cap on the cowl of built-in tanks. -
as far as I know they are all 50/1 unless otherwise specified and the only one I know that's different is some small yamahas use 100/1 mix.
call your local dealer to confirm what you need for your motor
not sure which motors moonlighter is aware of that use 25/1 or 40/1 (I think must be specialty motors not regular outboards) but it just goes to show that you can never make assumptions on the oil mix when dealing with any kind of outboardsComment
