Last year i repowered my 21 ft wellcraft 150 hp johnson 1998
with a 2012 4 stroke 150 hp suzuki. I love this motor. It is the
fifth suzuki i have owned. The johnson had a water pressure
gauge that routeinly registered 3 to 7 lbs/sqin. The suzuki
dealer replaced the water pressure gauge and got insrtuctions
from a factory tech on where to put the tee in the water hoses
for the pressure gauge. The gauge tosp out at 30 psi but the
running motor never pushed it above 2 psi since the day it
was installed. The motor has never overheated but the 2psi
seems low for a 150 hp engine. I wrote a note to suzuki on the dealer evaluation sheet but never got a response from them.
Is 2 psi cause for concern on this engine ?:
