Error with my DT226

Hello everyone. bought a boat and bought me a fletcher 199 with a Suzuki DT225 engine. year 1998.it has started to make a strange error now. after about 5 min normal sailing loses rpm and will not go faster than about 2000 rpm. it feels as if the engine is not getting enough fuel. when the engine has been turned off about 20 minutes, it wishes to take turns again but after a few minutes the fault occur again. have change both fuel filter and the entire fuel hose but no luck. may think that it might be the fuel pump.hope there are some who have had the same problem or some who have an idea for what it can be. Unfortunately I don't know much about your motor
Agree that it sounds like engine is struggling for fuel
Have you checked to fuel tank venting ?
That is kind of the first place to start then on to the rest of fuel system
Hopefully someone that knows your motor better will chime in

hi. Does anyone know how much pressure there must be after the fuel pump at idle and at 4000 rpm on my engine DT 225'll try to check it now. Regards Carsten

hello again
thought I was happy but the error is still there. have found out that the loss of the spark in the spark plugs in the entire right side of the engine.
some have an estimate of the error can be.
