Df140 imagination switch/harness problem

I recently picked up a used ignition switch and harness. I have hooked up the switch and cannot get the engine to turn over from the switch. I have good battery power. When I turn the key, I am not getting power to the red cable that goes onto the starter solenoid. Also, I am not getting any power from the harness to my switch. Should one of these wires to the key switch be supplying power at all times, and when the key is turned the power is directed to the starter solenoid? If so, what wire (color) coming from the engine through the harness be supplying the key switch with power? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I think you are going the right direction
I have a 06 df175
Check for a white wire from the battery switch to the ignition switch
This should have an inline 15A inline fuse
This provides continuous power whenever battery switch is on
Check the emergency stop switch
The wiring from the ignition switch goes to the ECM
The ECM then In-turn powers green lead to the starter relay
There should be 3 wires at the ignition switch -black to ground (be sure you have a good ground) - white from battery and -brown that feeds through neutral switch to ECM
The other lead from neutral switch Y/G wire feeds to starter relay
Find the white wire from the battery first
In my boat this wire appears to feed the dash and then to the ignition switch

Yes this needs to be clipped into the button
Without it, and I would have to look at the schematic again, the power to this circuit is off
