I've got a pair of counter rotating df 225's with approx 800 hours on them.
First, I'd like to say that they are fantastic and have had nothing but great luck with these motors.
Around 400 hours I started noticing the counter rotating motor had darker gear oil then the other on the 100 hour change.
Now at about 700 hours the last change...the oil seamed to be mettalic, not milky just worn looking while the regular motor seamed like new oil.
The gear oil in both motors is the same and is changed every 100 hours.
I was told by the dealer that the couter rotating leg has darker oil on a regular basis which I thought was odd.
Should I be worried?......help???
