My 87 Suzuki DT 75 continues to be a hard starter. Purchased a couple years ago in that condition (my bad),I can't seem to correct.
Compression is at 150, 155 and 150. Choke appears to function when the key is pushed in. Been through the carbs a couple of times. New needles and seats and gaskets. Floats set per spec. Motor runs well once going. New fuel filter.
Usually takes a squirt of starting fluid to get it going, only marginally easier to start when fully warmed up. Gas tank cleaned out, fresh gas, two separate times.
I have not replaced fuel line or bulb, but with float bowls on carbs full, didn't think that was necessary for a hard start issue.
Any and all sincere suggestions on where to start looking will be appreciated.
Mike.
