Lowrance to Garmin interface cable???

Good Day Guys
I have a 2014 DF300 on a 2014 Proline and I would like to install my Garmin 1040xs to the existing NMEA 2000 set-up that is installed on this boat. The dealer, I feel does not know how. I believe all I need is to add a tee and the Garmin cable. Someone said I may need a different cable because of the Lowrance installed. Any Help

You're right...run it off a tee on the backbone. I have a Garmin on mine in addition to the Suzuki branded Lowrance LMF-400.

Every NMEA 2000 equipment is compatible with every other one, else they wouldn't be NMEA 2000 qualified. Some units send, some receive, others do both. But they all work together.

I also want to see what the dealer says, they did the install.
