  • Problem starting when hot

    Hi

I have a suzuki 65 hp (1996 model self lube) 2 stroke. Starts from cold NO problem. Problem is when engine is hot/warm and has been idle for a few minutes. Turn key to start - engine will not fire up even with full throttle and or choke. Take hood off and apply small movement to choke linkage and engine will fire up and run perfectly. A little disconcerting when it refuses to fire using the normal ignition method.
    Can anyone help PLEASE.

    when hot running issues

Wgd, if as you say small movement on choke linkage fixes your problem, I would check that area for loose parts. If all seems tight, maybe the choke is staying on? If choke has to be on for engine to run, then maybe carbs or jets need cleaning?
