Specs: 1996 Suzuki Tiller Outboard – 30HP, 2-Stroke, Long Shaft, Manual Start/Tilt
When running outboard motor on a lake or river full throttle the motor purrs like a kitten & runs like a top. It seems when running at slow speed (idle) the motor will die out, re-start immediately, but will die out again unless you go to ˝ throttle on up. This is making our lives extremely difficult especially when launching the boat in and out. This seems to happen both when cold and warm.
Motor will idle and run good when ear muffs are used or when motor is in a water barrel but when we put the boat in water seems to act up. Could it have something to do with being under a load?
Does this motor have a low speed & high speed carb jet? We have adjusted the idle but didn’t seem to help. Any suggestions?
