  • Fuel pump interchangeability

I have a 2000 model year DT140. The fuel pump is leaking out the little rubber tit at the pulse dampener. After looking around for a replacement, even a used one, I noticed that that the suzuki part number 15100-94900 which is the electric high pressure pump for my engine is also the same part # for the low pressure pump installed on DF 4 strokes. I need to know since these pumps are hard to come by for 2 strokes, and if interchangeable, would greatly increase the pool of used parts to choose from. Thanks in advance for anyone that knows the answer.

Edit - i mistakenly thought we were talking about a Df140 4 stroke. Srry cant help with the 2 stroke.

        Aftermarket 15100-94900 Fuel Pump

I bought the aftermarket version of this pump off EBay, it's heavier, stainless and brass. They made it in the USA so I like that, plus it's $150 less than the Suzuki pump. I have a few zuki's the DT65, DT115 and a DF250, on my DT115 its the high pressure pump and on my DF250 its the low pressure pump. It fixed the hesitation on my DT115 and my DF keeps vapor locking so I swapped pumps.

I put the new OEM on the DT115 and the PSF pump on the DF250, now the 250 doesn't vapor lock anymore and the DT115 started that hesitation thing again on take off. Could it be the vapor lock issue or the pressure difference? I wish I had two PSF pumps.

        Just my two cents

So did the PSF pump work best in the 115? I have a 1999 DT115 and the fuel pump (part 15100-94900) is leaking at the nipple too. Not sure what the difference is between the 2 stroke and 4 stroke 15100-949000 is (other than the $100 price tag). Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!

If you click on the part number it should list all the motors that part is used on.

In the list of motors, that pump is being used on some 4 stroke motors. It is the same part number, so it should work fine.

Good luck, post back on what you find out.

I'm looking for some sort of alternate pump that is not so expensive. I know Yamaha parts are often inter changeable with Suzuki for allot less money. Just wondering if anyone had any experience or knowledge of the spec for the suzuki pump in order to shop around for anything comparable. My pump is leaking out the rubber tit at the pulse dampener as well. I found a used pump for $100 last year but it all of a sudden stopped working. was running off shore and the motor just shut down. would randomly crank and run the shut down again. I put the old leaking pump on and it would run (just spurts gas everywhere and won't maintain the pressure needed to run normal) Can these be repaired? or anything?
