Power Tilt elctric motor failed after 200 hrs of use. No water contamination in hydraulic fluid. What could have caused it?

sometimes motors just go bad.
was it a genuine factory OEM motor or aftermarket replacement?
them aftermarket motors look the same but can be low quality on the inside.
I will say this, lower then desired voltages shortens the life of any motor but that's motors that run for a while and you just don't use a power trim motor for long enough for that to be an issue I would think.
are you sure its bad? it could be the trim unit is locked up keeping it from turning -
Thanks, unfortunately the "authorized dealer" did not even took it apart to check the armature or the brushes instead he sold me a $450 "new unit" with 30 days warranty (saving me $200 from the original suzuki $600) and I found out that legitimate companies are selling the exact same after market assembly for $150 with one year warranty.

bummer, well I have a complete power trim unit im selling, it slowly sinks down overnight because it needs the seals and O-rings replaced in it but it doesn't leak fluid, it just looses pressure to stay tilted up.
