Best way to remove engine decals?

What is the best way to remove factory decals from new outboard? Specifically in my case the "140" hp rating on the front and rear. Thanks,

if its new then a heat gun should lift it right off, just take your time with it and when your done you just need to clean off the glue residue. I would first try just a razor blade to lift an edge and see if you can just peel it off. it all depends how hot the motor got in the warehouse if the sticker got heated up enough for a strong bond or not.

if it were old the glue would be hard and they might need a bit more effort and maybe a heated razor blade scraper
