Within the first month of owning my DF175 I was 65 miles offshore when the check engine light came on and the engine stalled. It would not start as long as the light was on. After trying to start it a few times the light went out and it started. After a few more miles it did it again. The light stayed on and it would not start. It would be a long ride in on one motor so i figured we would just pull the main fuse to try to reset the computer. It seemed to work. This problem would only happen once every 100 miles of use. I contacted the dealer and they never heard of the problem so I knew it was useless bringing it in to them. It happened again well out in the Gulf and we went to pull the main fuse and the light went out just from touching the fuse. I found the problem once I got back home. It was a bad crimp on the terminal on the wire under the fuse panel. the wire that went from the main fuse to the fuel pump relay. This wire is only about 3 inch. long. I get lucky like this sometimes and fix stuff.
