Dt 225 Oil line check valve direction

1997 dt 225, I replaced the oil line between the upper and lower main bearings that has a one way check valve. I didn't look at the direction when taking it off and knocked it off the back of the boat before checking the direction flow on the plastic check valve.
I'm guessing up flow with the check valve stopping drain down, but could someone confirm that.

Also has a small film of oil showing from the top seal on the crank. Can this seal be changed out by just removing the old one and pressing a new one in place ?
