Hey guys. I'm familiar with the sometimes annoying whistle that suzuki has with their outboards, but I'm wondering about a different noise. After running the boat for a while and coming off plane, I hear a sound that I can only describe as a whining belt that you would get on a car. It's very annoying and only happens after I have run the boat on plane for a while. Anyone else experience it?

whining sounds are never good..
can I assume that you have double checked the fluid levels?
especially the lower unit?
the only other thing that quickly comes to mind is the high pressure fuel pump
can you get it to make the same noise while running it at home?
you can not run it over I believe about 3000 RPM out of the water, check manual, that may be enough ,
have you tried to locate the source with the engine cover off?
just some random thoughts
