Impeller Replacement DT55 1994

Hi All,
I have just purchased a boat with a 1994 55HP Suzuki Outboard.
I am trying to replace the impeller on it but cannot locate the gear disconnection boat. I have loosened the 4 bolt on either side on the lower part of the leg and also the taken off the direction guide just above the propeller.
I have looked on youtube for instructions and also looked through this forum but cannot find the answers. If anyone can help I would be grateful.

If it's like mine, look at the rt side of the engine for a plastic cover. Pop the cover off and loosen the bolt till the lower end units pulls off. Make sure the trans is in neutral.

I have unscrewed the gear almost all the way, from rhs after taking rubber cap off. Then all 4 bolts from each side about 3/4 down leg and the guide from just above the prop, but it still seems to not to come off. Is there something I am missing?
