Just purchased a DF2.5 hp outboard and looking through the manual it looks like there is no shear pin. What protects the motor?

Number 16 in this diagram is sheer pin on a 2010 model, 2010 DF2.5 Suzuki Marine Outboard GEAR CASE Diagram and Parts -
This is what is shown in my owners manual. They list an aluminum prop(which I have) and a plastic one. The plastic one has the shear pin. ##13 is listed as a propeller Bushing.

Need to check serial number of motor to find out what model you have and look to see what prop you have on it. If prop shaft has splines then prop has a hub in it and wouldn't use sheer pins.Comment
