Engine cowling

has anybody painted the engine's cowling?

I have thought about it after I saw the paint on a parts list
My cowling got really checked and dull
I am seriously considering buying the paint and then taking it to my auto paint shop that works on my Corvettes and let him paint it

I will do exactly the same thing
But I was thinking to change color or airbrushing it

They look awesome with the new Line-X marine coating. I've seen two so far done to the upper and lower cowl and holder fairings. Better looking than factory.
