I sent an email off to Lowrance this morning explaining the problem and asking them to fix it. I also emailed Browns Point who I purchased the cable from and have had much correspondence with regarding getting it to work, hopefully they will take it on board and at least re-programme the cable for purchasers with pre 2013 engines.
