Control wiring question

I'm changing my single side mount control to a top mount control. The 2005 90 df has a square 16 pin connector,the other end of the cable has bullet type terminals that go into the side mount control box.The top mount control box has a round 8 pin & 2 pin connector and I need to connect it to the side mount cable. I can get a 36620-93J30 7' adapter cable that has the round connector on one end and 16 square pin on the other,do I cut the 16 pin connector off and connect to the bullet terminals or is there a short cable available to connect them together ?

Sorry, decided to go a different route had harness and adapter confused. What I have is the 67200-93J12 top mount control box and 37100-96J20 Ignition swt. Is wiring harness 36620-93J62 compatible with them and my Suzuki DF 90 09001f-510319 ?
