DF250 mounting bolts

Hi,

I wanted to see if anybody knew if the Suzuki mounitng bolts were some special super strong bolt? I an mounting a used 2005 DF250. I see the suzuki bolts are $20+/each. Small price compared to the engine. Only issue I would have is I am mounting to an aluminum engine bracket and don't need 61/2" bolts. Any suggestions?

Most jackplate and bracket manufactures offer a bolt kit for installing outboards.

Yes special strong bolts are available for that kind of purpose.

Most people, including myself have been using standard 1/2 dia SS bolts for mounting engines almost forever..thats whats been holding my 225 to my aluminum bracket for over 10 years
