DF250 Flushing

Does anyone know if when using the flushing port on a 2004 df250 you can run the engine at the same time to get a thorough flush of the engine?

Have to use flusher attached to lower unit to run engine.

The two flush ports are for flushing with the engine off only. You will not get adequate cooling if you run the motor using these flush ports. You have to use muffs on the intakes in the lower unit.
