Fast Idle

I have twin 140s which ran fine when put away for the summer. Now I cannot get the port engine to idle below 1700rpm. A mechanic (?) said that I need new cables because they are probably stretched. Can they be adjusted? Looks like there are threaded end. Any help.

They are adjustable but if have a lot of freeplay need to be replaced.

Very doubtful that it is stretched cables since they were fine before they were put away.

Most likely IAC needs to be reset, or something like that.

Did your mechanic hook it up to the Suzuki Diagnostic system on his laptop?
