When I bought my 1988 DT40C the guy only had 1 ignition key and it is encased in a rubber push cap. Is it possible to remove the key to get the number off the key or can it be reproduced by a locksmith without removal from the cap? Thanks

There should be a number on key, with that number we can get you a replacement.

I managed to get the key out of the rubber push cap and all it has on it is the number 67 and words that say " manual operation only"
