Suzuki DF 115 2002 Water Plug Stuck

I purchased a Cape Horn with a Suzuki 2002 DF 115, The engine has been running smoothly I will be storing the boat in a slip soon so I need to remove the drain plug I started today and its all corroded and stuck. Ive been using Blaster on it today the amount of Salt and Corrosion is unreal, I'm not even sure if it still has threads for the new plug.

Anyone had any experience with this. I have been chipping away at the plastic.

I'm no expert but have you thought of drilling out the centre (using your new plug as a guide) and then trying to melt the rest out with a heat gun ?
