I own a Suzuki DF225 2011 on a 23 CC. A year ago I had an issue where once I ran the boat even warmed up and throttled down to just in gear the engine would remain at 1000 rpms. It seems to happen in spring and fall. This week running in high 50 degree weather It continued to happen. I would have to shut the engine in gear engage the throttle in both directions and re-start in neutral. Engine and control box purchased new and in immaculate condition. Any thoughts would help

Check to see if the throttle body arms are returning to the throttle stops. DON'T MESS WITH THE STOP ADJUSTMENT! If they are not returning to the stops you may have a binding in the cable or linkage that may be relieved with a simple lubing. If the arms are resting on the stops it could be the IAC actuator malfunctioning.
