Series of double beeps

Every time I turn on the key to my DF70 (tiller handle model) I get a series of double beeps. None of my gauges light up and the beeps discontinue after four series. I've changed the oil and filter, checked the air intake, the water pump seems to be pumping well. These beeps happen whether I start the motor or just leave the key on. I can't seem to find anything in the owner's manual to address this.

I am not at all familiar with the tiller models. Does it have some sort of kill switch, in case you go overboard? If so, did you do any kind of reset when you changed the oil and filter? With the remote binnacle, we pull the wedge out of the kill switch and with the key on, engine off, pull the switch three times within ten seconds. Maybe your procedure would be similar.
