Having a problems with my 87 Suzuki 150 outboard. This motor seems to have a mind of its own in terms of cranking up when it wants to. I can take it out 3, 4, 5, times without any issues, then on the next trip I either have trouble cranking it or it shuts off while running across the water. Whenever it shuts off, its like you pulled the kill switch. Sometimes it crank right back up and other times I have to wait 5-10 minutes before it starts back up. What really gets me is whenever I take someone out to diagnose the problem, it runs great. Could this be a stator or voltage regulator issue?
