Lower unit leaking out of sub water hole.

When my 95 DT 200 is down it oil leaks out of the sub water tube outlet just in front of the diode. Can someone tell me where it could be coming from. What is the purpose of the sub water tube?

I have discovered the origin of the oil. That tube is drain off from the motor compartment. I have a cracked oil cap and the oil is coming from there.
