DF 300 gauge reset after oil change

How do you reset gauges, had an oil change and my gauges are not working.

If I remember correctly, my mechanic told me that the alarm will go off every 100hrs. If you do an oil change inbetween that, you can't reset it.
At the 100, 200, 300, etc.. mark then you have to:

Turn Key off
Disconnect black clip (on red cord)
Turn key on and off 4 times
add back clip
turn motor on

That should reset the oil change alarm
