86 dt115 oil alarm

I plane off and run good for about 10 minutes or so then oil light starts flashing with alarm and motor just looses rpms like I pulled the throttle back. When this happens the LIMIT light comes on. I can let off of throttle, plane back off and hold throttle about half way and runs well with no issues. I noticed if oil light starts flashing I can back off of throttle a little and it will stop flashing. Don't have manual. Don't know what limit light means. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

Did you find the issue with your engine. I have the same symptoms with my 98 DT115.
Your statements are the same as I would have written.
