Can anyone help me with this problem?
I recently replaced one engine cowling and replaced both rubber gaskets on my Suzuki 4 stroke 200hp motors.
The engine cowlings are now very tight on the lower unit which I assume is preferred to keep the salt water out.
My problem is that both side latches on both cowlings open once engines are started. The cowlings remain tightly secured, as you must lift the latches upward to unlock the cowling from the lower unit, but it is disconcerting to look back and see the side latches sticking out horizontally . How can I remedy this problem? I appreciate any advice you may have.
Thank You!
